How I Went From Jewelry Hobbyist to Six-Figure Creative Entrepreneur (With A Lot of Trial, Error & Without an MBA)
It wasn’t overnight.
It wasn’t linear.
And it definitely wasn’t always pretty.
But it was worth every twist, burn, rebrand, middle-of-the-night idea, and what I like to call shower epiphany sessions.
From Stones to Sales
I started with a passion for stones. Earth’s treasures. I’d spend hours cross-legged on a blanket crafting wearable talismans—each piece infused with intention, magic, and metal. It was my therapy. My meditation. A total obsession.
At the time, I had zero plans of turning it into a business. I was creating because it got me out of my head.
Until one day, someone asked to buy my work.
Then another. And another.
Eventually, I walked into a boutique wearing one of my pieces. The owner complimented it and asked for my line sheet. ( I had no idea what a line sheet was.)
That conversation? Changed everything.
Suddenly, I was in business—and I had to figure it out fast.
A Whole Lot of Hustle + Happy Accidents
I’m not going to pretend it was all sunshine and bestseller lists.
I tried everything.
Some of it flopped hard. Some of it hit at exactly the right moment.
I caught a few big waves—riding trends before they peaked. My jewelry ended up on celebs, on TV, on one of the worlds biggest music tours, and even on a NY Fashion Week runway.
I created a jewelry-making course for Brit + Co, made over 100,000 online sales, and was featured by Creative Live and Etsy Success. Not too shabby for a girl who once didn’t know what a line sheet was.
But behind the scenes? It was a lot.
Burnout. Decision fatigue. The pressure to keep up with ever-changing algorithms and stay ahead of trends. Always chasing, never resting.
I realized: just because something is working, doesn’t mean it’s working for you.
From Burnout to Alignment
These days, I’m doing it differently.
I’ve shifted from chasing trends to creating timeless pieces—and timeless experiences.
From “throw spaghetti at the wall” marketing to intentional strategies that actually feel good.
From hustle-mode to heart-led.
Now, I lead with clarity, soul, and purpose—whether I’m making jewelry, mentoring creatives, or curating community markets.
Because here’s the truth, no one talks about enough:
You can build a beautiful, profitable, creative business without burning out or selling out.
But you have to do it your way—with vision, alignment, and a whole lotta trust.
The Spark That Keeps Me Going
I’m still that girl who loves stones and stories.
But now I’ve built a life around creativity, and I get to help other artists do the same.
Whether you’re just starting out or pivoting your brand for the 10th time (been there), know this:
Your creative voice matters.
Your dream is valid.
And your “big break” might just be on the other side of your next brave step.
Let’s build it with intention.
